Conéctate A+ is a network of researchers and institutions founded by swissuniversities and led by the Mountain Research Initiative (MRI), the University of Zurich, and CONDESAN. It is interested in deepening the interdisciplinary analysis of key interactions between mountain ecosystems, climate change, human health, and sustainable development in the Tropical Andes and Central America region. The second phase of Conéctate A+ has been launched with new funding calls, a series of webinars, and more to foster collaboration between researchers.
Are you interested in learning more about Conéctate A+ Phase II? We warmly invite you to join our first webinar of the new series, taking place on 8 June from 9:00 to 10:00 Lima-Bogotá time / 16:00 to 17:00 CEST (English and Spanish, simultaneous translation). The Conéctate A+ team will provide an overview of upcoming activities, highlighting opportunities for participation, engagement, and collaboration. In addition, Phase I grantees will present their work and experiences with the program. During the webinar we will also be joined by Anna Stewart, Science Director of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research (IAI), who will introduce IAI’s activities and its collaboration with Conéctate A+ as a new associate partner. Finally, the one-hour virtual event will be rounded off with a general Q&A, offering an opportunity to identify and discuss the expectations and needs of the Connect A+ community.
This webinar is open to the public. It particularly addresses scientific institutions and researchers (ECRs) in Switzerland and the Andes+ region with a thematic interest in climate change, ecosystems, and health.
