New Conéctate A+ calls for small grants and conference grants!

The Cluster of Collaboration (CLOC) Conéctate A+ invites proposals and applications for two newly launched funding calls:

  1. Small grants for collaborative research

The Conéctate A+ small grants programme invites proposals for collaborative research and synthesis activities that generate outputs such as publications and kickstart integrative research initiatives and projects focused on teaching, training, and capacity development across the thematic areas of climate change, ecosystems and health in the Tropical Andes and Central America region, within the framework of sustainable development. We encourage the Conéctate A+ community to consider this call as a means to foster continued scientific collaboration between network partners in Switzerland and the Tropical Andes and Central America region. 

Funding per small grant: 10’000 USD

Number of grants awarded: 3-4

Eligibility: Consortia of researchers affiliated with at least one Conéctate A+ member institution in the Tropical Andes and Central America region, AND at least one SUDAC member institution in Switzerland.

Proposal submission deadline: Extended until 31 October 2022

  1. Conference grants

Conéctate A+ promotes collaborative and integrative research in the Tropical Andes and Central America region as well as strengthens links between the network partners in Switzerland and the Americas. To this end, participating in scientific meetings and conferences are an integral part of professional development and fostering research collaborations and the exchange of ideas. In recognition of this important aspect to research, Conéctate A+ is launching a funding call to support researchers’ participation in conferences, especially targeting early career researchers.

Funding per grant: Max. 1000 USD

Eligibility: Conéctate A+ network membership or primary affiliation in a Conéctate A+ member institution. Priority is given to early career researchers (ECRs)

Condition: No transoceanic air travel.

Application deadline: 14 October 2022
